what it does:
the script takes the selected objects and blows them up with a detonation.
the detonation starts at the documents zeropoint and can be adjusted by
moving that point or the selected vectors around.

how to use:
select a few objects or several or also quite a lot and press the
play button. a dialog will open with some options to tweak the result.
tweak them and hit "lets boom!!!"

if the objects don't explode, they're most likely still a group.
ungroup them! use free objects, free the objects!! freedom for objects!!
down wif teh grups!!!

the detonation uses four "circles" to create the explosion.
they can be modified in the script options to achieve different looks.
try out different values and different selected objects.
also don't forget to play with the scale of the selected objects
in relation to the document size.

notes:
great things come from explosions.
but also great evil, so choose your objects wisely!

whoa... very very nice tool, I've been waiting for something like this to come around in vector shape for so long! Those images look so fine!

...too bad it doesn't work here!!! Aaaaghhhh... here are the specs:

Win Xp sp2, Illustrator CS3, Scriptographer 2.0.025 (although the "about sg" window says 2.0.023... Mr. Lehni?)

I've put some objects (different sizes and shapes) and tried many positions on the document, starting from its zero point. Obviously all of them UNgroupped. Tried many settings, and when I click "lets boom!!!"... nothing happens, they just stay there. If I check "colorize" on, the objects actually change their color to a solid red. And the script also groups them at the end. But no explosion.

Any ideas? I so want to test this little thing! Thumbs up Pedro!!

Wow, is it just me or is this just a worthless script. It does absolutely nothing.

can't help it, but it works here. winxp sp2 with illu cs2 and illu cs3 and the newest scriptographer.... also tested successfully osx 10.0.4 cs2.

default settings should give quite a boom, so no need for tweaking to test...

what does the console say?

Same here.
The default settings doesn't do anything with my objects.

The only this I can do is higher value at Boom Misc Radius.

Im on OSX10.5, MacBook Pro, AI CS3.

Can't get it to work either.

my console says this:

Pedro: Console doesn't say a thing. Oh and there's another bug, when I close the script config window, Illustrator crashes. I'm doing the exact same thing you do in the video you posted.

very strange :-(

i have the exact same setup as you posted earlier. and it works without a problem.
until now i tested it on these setups (all german versions):

winxp sp2 illu cs2, scripto 2.0.025
winxp sp2 illu cs3, scripto 2.0.025
os x 10.4 illu cs2, scripto 2.0.025

(scripto 2.0.025 sais 2.0.023 when you look it up in the about panel)

i really have no clue what it could be :(
i just downloaded the script from this website again to make sure it was the right version... worked...

did it even work with anyone here?

Oh I forgot to mention a "little" thing that may be affecting this... I updated Illustrator to version 13.0.2 a couple days ago... :)
